Sometimes (most times) the person you imagined yourself to be is not the person you are. I have been finding myself torn between accepting what I have let myself become and finding the courage to become the person I imagined I would become.
Somewhat fittingly, the shuffle of my music has just started playing "Waiting for my real life to begin" by Colin Hay.
as the song says..
"Just be here now, forget about the past, your mask is wearing thin. Let me throw one more dice, I know that I can win. Waiting for my real life to begin"
Funny how the chance watching of a TV show years ago, hearing a song, looking it up and downloading it all led to this exact moment...
...where it all fits together.
Just know I love who you have been, who you are now, and who you are destined to be...you are a beautiful soul my lovely sister.
